We use Taskworld to organize projects and tasks and connect tasks to our software via the API.

Although we currently receive the task link or internal references via the API, we do not receive the task ID visible to users in the format #12345. Exactly this ID would be very helpful for our processes, as it could be used as a unique, easily recognizable reference in everyday work.

Our wish would therefore be to make the visible task ID #12345 available via API — ideally both:

as a return value for task queries,

as an association between internal task_id and visible task ID,

and, if possible, can also be used for further queries at task level.

The big advantage would be that we could link tasks much better in our software. In this way, we could not only link to the task, but also display relevant information directly in the system, such as the task title or description. This would simplify our work processes, reduce media disruptions and make allocation for employees significantly faster and more transparent.

This extension would have clear practical benefits for us in day-to-day business and would significantly improve the integration between Taskworld and our internal systems.

The task ld is what you get the easiest while working in the app or browser as there is a copy button for the weblink using that internal ID to adress the task
